Toddler toys and things to keep toddlers busy are endless. It is such that every parent feels confused and overwhelmed when going to a store or looking online for the perfect object to keep their toddler occupied and enjoy it. That’s where this post comes in. I want to tell you what worked for our 2 toddlers and what they LOVE to play with. Mind you they have been gifted so much over the years. Many that have been either ignored or used only once. So let’s get right to what will keep them occupied for at least an hour if not more (that’s what we want to happen right *wink*).

Picasso Tiles 100 Piece Set Magnets
We fell in love with Magnet Tiles since I discovered them at a friends house when my son was around 12 months. When we realized how expensive they were we decided to purchase them when he was older. We ended up getting these about a year later. They were much more affordable than the other brands out there, had great reviews and came in a large package with the option of buying cars on wheels making it more fun for my son. We have had these over a year and a half now and the magnets have held up really well, considering how rough they are!
KidKraft Kitchen
After I had my daughter I couldn’t wait to buy a little toddler toy kitchen like all my friends had for their little girls. I waited for her first birthday to get her one of these and it been a hit. My toddler makes pretend meals with the KidKraft Tasty Treats Play Food Set, they use the phone to call their grandparents and baba when he isn’t home. At our old apartment, I used to make them sit there to have their snacks as well. They went through a phase of hiding in the kitchen oven/dishwasher! We have had it over a year and it’s in great condition.
Drawing Easel with Magnetic Board
This is on my wishlist for my kids. Why? Because I have 3 things that fulfill this purpose and it’s a waste of space and if can be achieved with one item then that would have been best and I have seen this work VERY well at classes we have been to with the kids. This easel has a drawing board on one side for Chalk, a magnetic board that can be used with markers and also magnets! We purchased an Ikea Drawing Board, Ikea Paper roll, Ikea Magnet Board and Letter/Number/Shape Magnets Separately from the Target $3 section. So you see how all of those could have been merged into one product! Save yourself time making different things and have one standing board whether the kids can paint on paper, practice their alphabets and numbers using the magnets, and also draw using chalk and markers! 🙂
Giant Road Jigsaw Puzzle
Black and Decker Tools Set
Boys love tools like their daddy, so my son was ecstatic when we got him the Black and Decker Toddler Toy Tool Set. It had all the tools and was such great quality and has held up since summer of 2016!
Durable Kids Doctor Kit
With all the OB appointments I had to have my daughter tag along to this year, I think she developed a love for pretending to be a doctor and checking our heartbeat. I decided to look for a good kit to give her on Eid this year and she loved it. We have had it about 7 months now and its held up really well. My daughter would wear the band-aid wristband everywhere until she lost one! It comes in a gift case, with 12 pieces of medical equipment toddler toys which are pretty cool.
Mr. Potato Head
My husband purchased the Mr. Potato Head toddler toy with the intention of gifting it to our 2-year-old and I automatically said it wouldn’t work with her because there were so many tiny pieces and she would destroy it. I was pleasantly surprised to see her put it together one day as she sat in her room for over 30 mins! I was so impressed that we ended up getting Mrs. Potato Head as well!
I love how you showcased toys that have more to them then just play. So much learning can take place with all of these toys! Great post!
These are all great picks that are in our house as well. I’ve been eyeing the magnetic tiles for awhile, so it may be time to invest.
LOVE these ideas. Especially the magnetic tiles we call them Playbees tiles. Wonderful list thanks.

Ohh I really want to get the Little Tikes Coupe Car for my son. He would really enjoy driving around in it!
